Each year teachers, district wide, submit grant proposals to enrich their students classroom experience. Some of the awarded grants indeed, enrich, while others are focused on providing basic needs for students.
It is not surprising that in a school district with nearly 68% of the elementary students on free or reduced lunches that these awarded grants are greatly needed.
One student $100 - that is all it takes.
