Dear Community Partner,

2020 struck us hard. All of us. Every business, every group, every service, and every person. We lost connection; we lost community. We lost time. We lost our events.  

We didn’t lose our purpose, our beliefs, our desires, our drives. We survived because we had built up resources. We used what were once luxuries as our critical tools to handle the new reality.  

2021 is the year we strike back. PTEF is focused on helping all of Port Townsend do that. We are working to reconnect, to proving our community is still here and stronger because of the past year. We are looking to make sure our school communities will continue to have resources to handle new challenges.

PTEF is hosting the inaugural PTEFChallenge June 3-6! The PTEFChallenge will be an event that blends virtual and physical. There will be a series of challenges for people to participate in and document with photographs. Our PTEFChallenge Team will upload the pictures to social media platforms for sharing and tagging. The participants will be individuals, groups, and families. Those participating at paid levels will earn  t-shirts and awards. There is an option to join for free just to be involved in this fun community event. The reach will be pretty broad. Family and friends in far-off places can participate as well, and more importantly, they will see the PTEFChallenge unfold and watch as their favorite people show up on social media. After the fun-filled challenge days, we plan to livestream a drawing for those who qualified for prizes.

What we are asking is simple. We want you to join us. Will you be a participating sponsor? This invitation is open for all businesses that serve the Port Townsend community. No matter size, years of establishment, or industry, we all are together in our unique offerings. Promotional material will be hung, mailed out, sent to school families, with promotional emails and social media posts starting the middle of April continuing into June. There will be an ad in The Leader, so join quickly to market your support to the maximum.
